Orston Primary School in Nottinghamshire has recently had a new outdoor play area installed by AstroSport Limited.
Working closely with the teachers, Parent Governor's and pupils, AstroSport were asked to design and install an outdoor area, which could be used for play, sport and other educational and recreational activities. Having studied the range of options offered by other suppliers, the school decided that CitiGrass was the best solution for the pupils as it provided a perfect surface for their needs as well as exceptional value for money.
Carl Whelan who developed the CitiGrass play area said "We are very pleased to have had the opportunity to build this new facility. More schools should have similar facilities as it would greatly increase the number of outdoor activities for the pupils and on a surface which is available all year round. With this project the client wanted to utilise a grassed area which is unusable for several months of the year. The new surface can be used as an outdoor classroom during the summer months as well as for sport and play. We installed our CitiGrass Synthetic Grass System to create a natural lawn environment so that the pupils could play and learn outside in all weathers which if required can also replace the schools main playground.
