Tennis Courts

AstroSport undertake all types of tennis court resurfacing and refurbishment.

Our surface portfolio includes artificial grass cushioned or non cushioned acrylic tennis surfaces to suit all performance levels and budgets.

Artificial Grass

Our range of artificial grass surfaces are available in short dense pile or longer more open surfaces to suit all standards of tennis. A short pile height artificial turf with a dense low slide resistance yarn is laid without a shock pad and infilled with sand. This gives the courts excellent characteristics in terms of ball speed and bounce.

Painted Macadam

AstroSport carry out all types of court painting depending on the surface type, useage and amount of slip resistance required. The different types of paint surfacing available is detailed below. If you are unsure as to which paint type is best suited to you we would be happy to advise and if required visit your site to undertake a no obligation survey.

Non Porous Acrylic

The system is made up with a rubber cushioning layer which is totally stuck down to the court surface. To complete the court the rubber matting is coated with layers of textured polymers to produce a  cushioned tennis surface.

Porous Acrylic

A fully porous cushioned acrylic surface that can be installed onto a porous court that may not have the correct falls for a non porous acrylic surface.

The rubber cushioning layer is surfaced with layers of textured polymers and  a textured spray coating resulting in a surface that has optimum cushioning with the added advantage of being porous. The surface is extremely useful in rainy climates where traditional impervious acrylic courts will retain water on the surface and make play impractical during times of wet weather.

Acrylic Paint

The standard coating for courts that are in good condition.

Acrylic Paint & Polyurethane Binder

Used in conjunction to strengthen an ageing surface, or where a court is used intensively.

Polyurethane Paint

Where a court is used very intensively.

Polyurethane Paint & Additional AlO2

Extra aluminium oxide aggregates incorporated into the coating during spraying to produce the correct level of slip resistance if Netball is also to be played.
